On 8th December, 2020 the MSF SARA Focal Point Workshop took place with the participation of Dr. Monique Kamat, President MSF SARA and Carol Devine, Humanitarian Affairs Advisor.
15 focal points from MSF SARA, the SARA team, Urban Spaces team and Nepal local civil society organization representatives participated in the workshop. Dr. Monique Kamat talked about SARA Strategy Plan alignments & ambitions (climate crisis/Urban Spaces) & overview of climate crisis and health impact in South Asia. Carol Devine talked about MSF & Climate Change.
Dr. Monique Kamat also elaborated on the MSF Urban Spaces Nepal Project. This project will be implemented through a partnership between MSF SARA and local grass root civil society organizations. The project’s objective is to build awareness on climate change among women and youth in Nepal. Phase I of the project will focus on production of a short film to raise awareness on the impact of climate change among youth and women, which will be co-created together with the partners.
